Thank you for attending the International SST Fiducial Reference Measurement (FRM) Radiometer Network (ISFRN) 2025 workshop.
The workshop was held online over 2 days, Thursday 3 April, 12pm - 4pm (BST) - Friday 4 April 9am - 12pm (BST)
The 5th edition of the ESA sponsored workshop was for anyone interested in sea surface temperature science, satellite validation or the uses of in-situ radiometer measurements. We hope to actively engage and promote the SST climate community so it was great to have this network come together and to hear about all the different experiences within our field.
The workshop promoted the achievements and developments within the radiometer community, and showcased our expertise in validating satellite Sea Surface Temperature (SST) data using in-situ instruments. Our data produced is of FRM standard and SI-traceable, and as such, can be reliably used for the calibration and validation of satellite data.
The core FRM4SST team met at NOC, Southampton for the event with the rest of the community joining us online.

A note from Craig Donlon the ESA technical officer on the FRM4SST project:
'Thank you everyone for a great review of excellence in SST activities - it is wonderfully refreshing to see how much work and productive science has been achieved with the ISFRN. It confirms to me that this is the right way to do the coordination between ourselves as international practitioners of SST science, validation and outreach. Thank you to all! '
The FRM4SST project would like to thank and acknowledge the substantial contribution of all the presenters and their funding agencies in support of this workshop.
Keep in touch with our project and our community @ships4sst
